Yes, I went overboard with the exclamations points in my heading, but I was a bit excited—and still am.
I gave my first book reading as a published author.
To a crowd.
At an event.
And I didn't vomit.
And people laughed. (Not at me—well, maybe some did—but at the story.)
Lady Jane's Salon Silver Spring hosts romance writers from debut to multi-published bestsellers. The salon began in New York City as the first- and only-monthly-romance fiction reading series. The Silver Spring satellite salon meets once a month at La Madeleine in Bethesda. Miguelina Perez, a romance author who runs this salon, invited me toread from my UltraSecurity latest release, The Grandfather Paradox, in A Very Paranormal Holiday anthology.
A huge thanks to my husband, family and friends who came out to support me. I gave out superhero masks with bling and wine and signed books. Everyone went easy on me for my Q&A, and I had a lot of fun answering questions about writing and my stories. Check out the photos below and a snippet of the favorite part from my reading.
